How do I choose the right baluster height?

Standard baluster heights are 32"–34" for rake (stair) sections and 38"–42" for level (balcony) sections. Measure from the floor to the top of the handrail, then subtract the height of the shoe or fitting to determine the correct baluster length.

What size balusters do I need?

Baluster size varies throughout your railing system. If replacing an existing system, measure what you have. For new installations, typical sizes are: 36" balusters for balcony sections, 36" at the front of each step, and 42" at the back of each step. Most vinyl flooring is designed to resemble a specific hardwood species. Look for the wood name in the product title, or consider the characteristics: What color tones does the wood have (deep/dark vs. light)? What hues are present (reddish-brown vs. softer whites)? Most of our Red Oak and Poplar parts are stocked and ready for shipment within 1–2 business days. Other hardwood species are built to order — please allow 1–3 weeks for milling. Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, we ship to Canadian addresses via UPS and FedEx Ground. Our shipping charges cover the cost of freight plus brokerage fees. However, the Canadian government charges additional duties, GST taxes, and Clearance Entry Fees (CEF) directly to the recipient once the value is established at the Port of Entry. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping quotes.

Do your freight quotes include lift-gate services?

No. Our freight charges do not include lift-gate services. For residential common carrier deliveries, the dispatch office will call you to arrange a delivery appointment — at that time you can request lift-gate service with the dispatcher.
